Day Five:
Boston, Mass.

It's always fun to visit Boston. We took the Red Line from Alewife to Downtown Crossing, and headed north towards Little Italy.
On the way we walked past the largest Borders bookstore I've ever seen. I snapped a quick photo.
It started to rain, but I still managed to get a picture of this Latin School mosaic set right in the middle of a side walk.
We ran inside an authentic Little Italy restaurant to escape the rain. Aaron ordered Spinach Fettucini, I had Paste al Salmone (Smoked Salmon with Pasta.) When we left, the rain was gone and the sun was shining again.
Undaunted by rain and delicious food, we jumped back on the subway and headed for the Museum of Fine Arts.
The museum allows visitors to photograph all artwork that is in the permenent collection, but with the camera flash turned off. I apologize for the quality of the images; without the flash I was forced to retouch the images extensively. I believe this painting to be "A Country Dance" by Monet.
I took a fancy to this lad. He looked so smug and complacent; a happy little guy.
I believe the title was "Portrait of St. Francis of Assisi". A sober minded fellow!
This statute reminded me of all the two-faced people I've ever known. You know who you are! :-)
