It's always fun to visit Boston.
We took the Red Line from Alewife to Downtown Crossing,
and headed north towards Little Italy. |
 |
On the way we walked past the
largest Borders bookstore I've ever seen. I snapped a quick
photo. |
 |
It started to rain, but I still managed to
get a picture of this Latin School mosaic set right in
the middle of a side walk. |
 |
We ran inside an authentic Little Italy
restaurant to escape the rain. Aaron ordered Spinach
Fettucini, I had Paste al Salmone (Smoked Salmon with
Pasta.) When we left, the rain was gone and the
sun was shining again.
|
 |
Undaunted by rain and delicious food, we jumped
back on the subway and headed for the Museum of Fine Arts.
|
 |
The museum allows visitors to photograph
all artwork that is in the permenent collection, but with
the camera flash turned off. I apologize
for the quality of the images; without the flash I was forced
to retouch the images extensively. I believe this painting to be "A Country Dance"
by Monet. |
 |
I took a fancy to this lad. He looked so
smug and complacent; a happy little guy. |
 |
I believe the title was "Portrait of
St. Francis of Assisi". A sober minded fellow!

 |
This statute reminded me of all the
two-faced people I've ever known. You know who
you are! :-)
